Homograph is back - iOS 16.4-16.6.1 german speech output from Apple is disrupted again

If you hear "Homograph" or "Encore" in the german navigation announcements, don't worry, you are not alone. It's not due to ABRP either.
Since iOS Update 16.4, the german voice prompts on Apple iPhone and iPad devices are faulty again.

This error occurs with all iOS software that use Apple speech output, it is not only ABRP that is affected.
It's the same issue like in the past which apple had with iOS 15.6:

They fixed it with iOS 16.0 and broke it again with iOS 16.4. :-(

Hello development team,
the German voice during navigation uses the word „homegraph“ for a path or street. This is absolutely wrong. The right word for this is „Weg“. The word „homograph“ is not used in the German language. Please correct this.

Hi Sven,
As TomTomZoe mentions, this is a bug within previous iOS versions, which we as developers of the iOS app unfortunately cannot correct ourselves. Apple has finally made a fix for it and you should see it resolved by upgrading to iOS 17.

If you update to iOS 17.x the bug is gone.

Announcing a turn in advance it always adds funny words at the start. Sounds Dutch, something like thermograph (I have no idea how to spell it) 2 times. When the junction is there the instructions are without fault. That bug appears from the start, including the last 2 updates on iOS. Deleting the app, restart the phone and new installation did not help

While navigating the voice speaks „homograph start“ and „homograph end“ when information about the distance to the next exit or direction change is given.

Bei der entfernungsangabe in Metern wird angesagt in homograph Start 400 homograph stop Metern biegen sie ab. Wenn die Entfernung in Kilometern angesagt wird, ist alles korrekt.
Habe die Version 4.4.3 und das neueste IOS Update. Verbunden ist ABRP per Bluetooth mit dem DS 3 eTense

There are nonsens words in the instructions when it comes to meter distance information. It seems the voice speaks out what parts of the progamming language are.

Route directions / voice guidance are not spoken correctly in German language. Seems like special characters in distances and numbers are spoken - but that makes speech (distances and numbers) unintelligible.

Nachdem ich ABRP krankheitsbedingt längere Zeit nicht mehr nutzen konnte, musste ich jetzt leider feststellen, dass dieser, bereits vor längerer Zeit gemeldeter und seinerzeit auch behobener Fehler, inzwischen in der aktuellen Updateversion abermals wiederholt auftritt.
Ich nutze das iPhone XS Pro Max mit der aktuellen iOS-Version.
Bitte um Fehlerbehebung.
Langsam wird es lästig, sich ständig mit wiederholt auftretenden Fehlern befassen zu müssen, daher überlege ich derzeit, mein Premium Abo zu beenden und statt dessen die App eines Mitbewerbers zu nutzen.
Muss es denn soweit kommen?
Ist es wirklich so schwierig, zu verhindern, dass dieser Fehler immer wieder auftritt??
Ich bin nicht der einzige betroffene Nutzer, wie man aus diversen Foren der Elektromobilität in Erfahrung bringen kann!

The speech output under Apple carplay speaks the word "Homograph" in German instead of the zeros. So for example "In Zwei Homograph Homograph rechts abbiegen" or "Nehmen sie in drei Homograph Homograph die zweite Ausfahrt" (instead of two hundred / tree hundred meters)

Ok, wenn es nur an Apple (nur bei Wahl des deutschen Language-Packs) liegen sollte, dürfte man meines Erachtens davon ausgehen, dass bei ABRP alle Hebel in Bewegung gesetzt werden, in Kommunikation mit Apple zu treten, dieses Problem, was nur in Verbindung mit der deutschen Sprachwahl auftritt, zu beheben.

Es betrifft nicht nur ABRP sondern alle Systeme die die deutsche Sprachengine von Apple nutzen. Somit auch andere Navigationssysteme. Siehe den verlinkten Post.
Ich denke die großen Navianbieter haben wesentlich mehr Einfluss auf Apple als der kleine „Sparten“-Routenplaner ABRP.

Since one of the last versions (1 or 2 before 4.4.0), the german TTS is broken. Seems like sentences like "in 100m rechts abbiegen" include some special characters, i.E. "in m" or something that has start/end.
It gets pronounced like "in ???graphstart100???graphend Metern"... This happens in almost every sentence that has some kind of variable...
