I use ABRP on Mac for load planning in advance. Since a few days no map is displayed. But the application works as before? What's happened??

Hi Alois,

I wanted to follow up on this as this post has gone inactive. Is this issue still present?

Please check your map configuration in settings. Which map did you select?

A

abrp - the other two work only with Premium

I use Mac 10.15.7 Chrome, Safari also don't work

Firefox crashes when I open abrp

Does this also happen in an incognito window? It seems a route is loaded in that map, so does it also happen when no route is loaded when you start abrp (open abrp without plan=? and clear plan before you test)

Please also check if you can see a log message that indicates what error occurs. On chrome for example you can see the console outputs when clicking F12.

A

Alois Egger

Yes always, for a short time (0,5 sec) I can see the map

A

Alois Egger

Oh, after deleting a saved route the map was there again. Many thanks for the support

So it works now even when planning a new route and closing browser and opening again?

Same problem as before, no map on screen?? What's happen since new version??

Please check the logs as described above from the javascript console. Here is a description how to do that on Mac OS with different browsers:
support.happyfox.com/kb/article/882-accessing-the-browser-console-and-network-logs/

Open the console, then go to ABRP website and copy all the logs int a .txt file and attach it here.

Hi Alois,

the console is the right one. If there is an error it will be red. So please try to open console. then open abrp website and then make a screenshot of the red lines when it crashes. Please try to get all red messages onto one page (or make multiple screenshots). Thanks!

The ABRP website opens twice, the first time the map builds halfway, then it closes and opens a second time but without loading the map.

The ABRP "Classic" website works fine, but only in English.

Hi Alois, there is no error again in that screenshot. A bit red text, yes, but an error is a block of red text. Please check again when the app crashes if there is red text. Scroll up or down a bit in case the log fills up too fast.

A

Alois Egger

But the error is permanent, there is no map visible on the screen! Pls see attached screenshot!

Update: I tried to open ABRP with the key combination cmd + click and since then the map also opens? But the map responds very slowly and there is no scroll option with + or - key?

Just a proposal as workaround for now... If you have premium, you can enable other map types in settings. Please try the satellite / hybrid map in settings for Maps. In the meantime i will check with the colleagues, if they know anything about this.

A

Alois Egger

No premium. I also suspect a problem with Mac Catalina version 10.15.7 - Since the one-time opening with cmd + click but it seems to run again, let's see how long?

A

Alois Egger

But the response time when scrolling the map is very, very slow compared to the Classic version which runs normally.

Can you please check if you see the spinning cubes here
get.webgl.org/
get.webgl.org/webgl2/

A

Alois Egger

One cube rotates on each of the two web pages

Do you have another device you can compare to? Like a Linux/Windows PC? Just want to make sure it is not related to your account data. If it works on other devices with your data it might be related to your system, if no error is logged in the console. Normally you really should see anything there. Please also make sure no logs are hidden. Maybe try checking the log in another browser as well for comparison.

I tried it with an Android tablet, the web version runs on it both in wifi and mobile network from the tablet!

Alois, please try the workaround as described here:
abrp.upvoty.com/b/report-a-bug/page-crashes-on-mac/

Does it help?
