Page crashes on Mac

H
Henry Kellner

When i try to open abetterrouteplanner.com on my Mac with Safari 15.1, the page crashes, will be reloaded, crashes again, and then a message says that there is a problem with the page. I tried also to delete all web site data like cookies und local storage, but no luck.

It seems the bug was fixed in Safari 15.2

Seems to be a bug in OSX 10.15.7, also "Here" map has the same issue. But i found a solution: activate this setting in Safari:

I don't speak English, but if necessary, we can perform a remote zoom session with my mac so that you can visualize the error.

Hi Ruben, thanks for offering that. Maybe there is an easier solution to that. Please open the error console of the browser before you open ABRP as described here:
wickedlysmart.com/hfjsconsole/

And then check if anything pops up there. If yes please post a screenshot or copy the text so we can check if that provides any information. Thanks!

Hello! This is the console error. As an extra piece of information, say I deactivate the loading of images, the web works (see image), although it is not poetic because there are no maps or icons, but at least it does not crash.

Hm i can't really see an error here that could cause a crash... So right now it seems to work as the app loaded. Does this happen when you try to do something specific?

R

Rubén Menargues

I have recorded a video with the error.
I have tested it in Private Mode and in normal mode. In addition, you can also see how, when deactivating the images in the development panel, it does load the web, although it does not work well when those images are missing.

Thanks Ruben, we will check if we can reproduce this somehow. BTW does this also happen in other browsers?

When I open ABRP in Safari 15.1 on macOS 10.15.7. The web automatically reloads three times and then shows an error (There has been a problem repeatedly with www ...). It has been happening for about a month.
I have tried clearing caches, even creating a new user, but it fails too.

Sorry, I have seen another user report the same error and I have duplicated the issue. We can continue on the other error.
