Version 4.2.0 (831), 3D map is missing the car marker temporaryly.
Zoom is too far to use it for navigation in the city

Ok i could finally reproduce the missing marker and it will be fixed in ABRP version 4.2.1 with our next update.

Hello, i think that i have the same problem. I was thinking that the problem was from my Xiaomi Poco X3 Phone, but it isn´t. My phone has automatically updated to the new MIUI 13 version, based on Andoid 12, and since than, the map doesn´t move, until the icon that simulates the car on the map, disappears from range. I have already performed a fresh installation of the ROM on my Smartphone and happens the same issue. I have understand that, if the ABRP is on first plan and the screen of the phone doesn´t lock, the map moves no Andoid Auto. Otherwise, the map stays quiet in Android auto screen on my car, with the smartphone screen locked. The battery save option is disabled on the ABRP application on the phone.

2d map is essential in old towns with lots of small streets. Or 3D must zoom much more in.

Map is moving, but the marker is missing.

That's on purpose, we removed the 2D view for now, as not many users seemed to use it. I will however discuss if we will enable it again with the team.
We just published a new beta release, please go to playstore and update. I have not seen the missing marker in the latest tests, so could be that it is fixed already.

There is a new Beta 4.2.0-beta3 (852) where i did not see that behaviour anymore. We will also publish a new beta next week. So please try again with 852 or the new version next week.

Hi, I also miss the car marker (and ODB connection info) sometimes. My map is not moving either. I have noticed that if I start the app on the phone and not only autostart on android auto, the marker will show and the app work properly. Running latest version as of today (881) on my Pixel 6 phone running wireless AA.

@Samuel_ABRP Still have the above mentioned problem with not moving map and no car marker. Now running version 892 of ABRP. Should I open a new ticket?
edit: opening a new ticket since @user does not work here...
