ABRP 4.3.0 resets or overwrites various settings again and again

I am using ABRP on three different devices with two vehicles.

ABRP 4.3.0 (1337) resets various settings to default or undefined every now and then.

Also, when switching from one to another stored vehicle, the values of the other vehicle are often overwritten with the values of the previous vehicle, this should not be!

It concerns the settings
- charging stops
- charging cards
- Type of chargers
- network preferences
- minimum charger stalls
- Destination arrival SoC
- Charger arrival SoC
- Charger max SoC
- Charging overhead
- Maximum speed
- initital vehicle temperature
- extra weight
- Avoid on route

With the latest version (4.3 I think) the max speed setting for my Tesla model 3 keeps resetting to 22 mph.

Status update for these settings issues:

we have solved, and it's already live, a bug related to switching vehicle which could re introduce bad settings. This solves some of the issues below and might solve many of the once we could not find issues with.

- charging stops - Could not find an issue*
- charging cards - Fixed, will soon be available in apps
- Type of chargers - Fixed should work now
- network preferences - Could not find an issue*
- minimum charger stalls - Fixed, will soon be available in apps
- Destination arrival SoC - Could not find an issue*
- Charger arrival SoC - Could not find an issue*
- Charger max SoC - Could not find an issue*
- Charging overhead - Could not find an issue*
- Maximum speed - Could not find an issue*
- initial vehicle temperature - Could not find an issue*
- extra weight - Fixed, will soon be available in apps
- Avoid on route - Fixed should work now

For you who still experience issues with any of the settings we could not find issues with (or any other settings for that matter) please notify here and we will look directly.

Note that the once marked with "Fixed, will soon be available in apps" is solved but the fix has not yet reached production/the apps but will soon.

* this issue might have been related to vehicle swap. In that case they should be fixed now but we could not find the issue when trying these issues out as a vehicle swap was not made in the testing.

I've retested ABRPV 4.3.2 (1979) several times on my iPhone and iPad and on the ABRP Website, changing between my two cars back and forth:
- charging stops - is fixed
- charging cards - is fixed
- Type of chargers - seems to be fixed
- network preferences - is fixed
- minimum charger stalls - is fixed
- Destination arrival SoC - is fixed
- Charger arrival SoC - is fixed
- Charger max SoC - is fixed
- Charging overhead - is fixed
- Maximum speed - is fixed
- initial vehicle temperature - is fixed
- extra weight - is fixed
- Avoid on route - is fixed

So at the moment all these settings are no longer lost or changed by themselves.

Now ABRP is useable again. :-)

Hey Hans-Jürgen, I see you wrote this same as my update when we did the backend change that might solve this issues. So just want to verify. If you open the app today and edit these settings will they reset or change to something else or is the issue fixed?

Hey,
the following settings has been identified as not working and we are working ot have them fixed in the very near future:

- Charge Cards : abrp.upvoty.com/b/report-a-bug/add-card-window-shows-cards-as-selected-which-havent-been-selected
- Type of chargers: often cleared with no selections
- Minimum charger stalls: Sets to 1
- Avoid on route: All items are reselected

If anyone knows that any other settings is not working please comment and we will try to take a look at and solve them directly.

For me also Voice Guidance and Include street names resets frequently and how the map is viewed by default.

In my initial post there are 13 items listed which are not handled correctly.

Hey Thomas, we went over these 13 items and tried to induce errors and we only had issues with the 4 settings I mentioned. If others of these 13 is still a problem please advice and we will look into it. If you have a way to reproduce them it's brilliant. Like the one you have for charge cards, super!!

Extra weight is gone, minimum stalls also gone

Extra weight issue been fixed recently but unfortunately it's not in production yet.

The for extra weight is saved and used in the plan but when you reenter the app or refresh the page it will display 0 but the actual value entered we will use in calculations so if you need to enter extra weight do so and it will reflect in the plan and soo it will also reflect in the input field.

Hey Hans-Jürgen, we are truly sorry for this inconvenience. We made a major update of how we handle settings which lead to these issues but we hope to have all solved soon. I just posted a comment in this thread with some settings we will fix tomorrow. Is there any settings despite this that you face issues with?

ABRP V4.3.2 (1975) iOS and Web
have still the same issue.

A visible improvement of the problem with the last update: undefined values stopped occurring recently, but still zero values or wrong values or loss of CCS and avoidance of highway etc. setting.

The most annoying thing is that the avoid highway option keeps being turned on by itself and the CCS option keeps getting turned off.

Still the same issue for me. Identical test as two days ago:
Switching back and forth between cars changes nearly all settings to undefined, zero or other values.

So for every use of ABRP I have to check all settings, this is cruel.

Unfortunatley not for me.
Today I use iOS ABRP V4.3.0 (1941).

Initial situation: I've set all settings correct for my Opel Ampera-e.

Then I switched to our Opel Corsa-e and configured the correct settings for the Corsa-e.

After that I switched back to the Opel Ampera-e again, and now most settings for the Ampera-e are undefined, zero, wrong or unset. :-(

This setting is getting reseted all the time. I set it to 4 and after the next calculation it is 1 again.
Bug also exists in a former release, was than solved and is now back again.

I have 2 cars setup in ABRP a VW and a Tesla. When I try to switch vehicles to the Tesla, the app resets it to the VW numerous times. After 2-5 times switching, it will stay on the Tesla.

I can't check your current account settings since your account on Upvoty isn't linked to any ABRP account.

Do you perhaps keep plans open in multiple tabs or windows in your browser? If so, it's possible that settings could be overwritten when opening a plan with older settings.
