Some people mentioned that it is annoying for them that they are routed back to the charger if they ignore it on purpose.
We could add an option, that does not send back people, but navigates to the next possible charger.

It would be nice if there was an affirmative way to do that. Perhaps a prompt to "skip this charger and find possible chargers along route" -- ideally with additional options to find closest charger in any direction, and to return to the missed charger.

It would be really helpful if the app would automatically suggest an alternative charging station when the charging station you are trying to access is occupied, as soon as you are within a certain range of the charging station and it is still occupied (e.g. within a radius of 30 km). It might even make sense to automatically avoid charging stations that are too busy.

On every refresh of the plan (which happens in the background every minute) we evaluate a number of different alternative routes to see if any is significantly better. This takes realtime charger availability into account and if there seems to be a better option we will tell you and ask if you want to switch. However the assumptions and logic could still have improvement potential!

The main reason I cancelled my subscription twice. Being more dynamic, like previous users have suggested, would make it the ABRP. Proposal to Charge earlier if battery is lower than expected or automatically research for a new one if you are doing well and intentionally ignore one would make it more usable. Fiddling with the app while driving is not a safe option. Dynamic would also include live (google) traffic information. This is useful to advise an earlier charge for instance...
I will gladly pay for a service that has all this in it

Chargers at Bedford, PA. Were brand new and not activated. I could not get ABRP to ignore them and find another one nearby.
ABRP did not have any hotel chargers (there were several) nor the nearby state Park listed.

Allow replacing charger stations with known other stations.

Replan while driving should ideally offer to select an earlier charger or select a charger that is farther than the actual next charger in the plan. A little bit like Google maps search along the route but a search that will look for charger +/-20km +/-50km distance configurable or zoomable. Functionality should be available while planning and while driving
Ed
My plan includes a charger that no longer exists. I cannot make arbp skip it no matter what I do. This is a big issue in an area that has very few charging stations.
Samuel_ABRP
You can ignore the charger (either temporary or forever) and it will not be used for planning anymore.
Ed
I did ignore the charger, but it gets put back into the route.
Jay Mahler
I haven't gotten that to work correctly. When I ignore a charger (either Always or current trip), it remains in the route plan.
Ervin Hagerup
Yes! Don't send me back to a charger that didn't work the first time.
Bert Duursma
Yes, that's the way it should be!

YES! That's the way it should be!

Soy de Uruguay. Está muy mal planificado la app. No existe la tarjeta de pago con la que quiero abonar.

There should be an option to say that you don't want to charge or you will charge at destination . I've been using the 0% arrival charge for that...:/
Samuel_ABRP
For that you don't need an EV route planner, do you?
PublicBenemy
So you want to tell me, that if there is one trip I don't want to charge, I would need to set up a different route planner? Now that's what I call customer service.
iHugoF
I still use it to estimate charge at arrival. Most times ABRP says I need to charge when I know I don't because I've a private chargers at destinations. And I want to go directly to destination and it keeps routing a different destination, so it can charge 1 or 2mins... Makes no sense!
Bo_ABRP
I think the original feature request is to reroute the user to a new (more suitable) charger if one is missed/ignored.
But this thread here seems to be about not adding chargers when aiming to get to a destination with low SoC - this should still be possible by setting the destination SoC to 0% (or something low). Is that somehow not working as desired?
iHugoF
That's true. The original request is to be able reroute to another charger, if one is ignored or passed by. But when that happens, it could ask user if it wants to charge or not. Going to the settings, while driving, to set destination SoC at 0%, it's not very practical or safe. On Carplay I don't remember seeing option for that.
Duckster
I guess this will also work if the charger is not available for any reason (in use by others, or not working).
Bo_ABRP
In 4.1.5 the route will not be forced back to the original charger anymore, however it will still be the default choice. Other chargers will be presented as alternatives.
