The new vehicle SOC data integration is great, but it requires a BLE OBDII reader for direct in-app use. Please enable use of regular Bluetooth OBDII readers as well.

Lelink OBD BLE used to work before but nowdays gives an error, why? As my OBDLink LX isn't supported would like to use at least that..

Maybe read the ABRP manual and device recommendation before buying an OBDII adapter. If GoogleMaps, Waze or Apple Maps didn't integrate it, maybe the hardware and connexion protocol are not old or a bit complicated 🙄🤷♂️ For family and friend, we used the vLinker MC+ with an iPhone and it works, over BT.

Is there any update regarding MFI integration, or are we all just being ignored?

As more OBD dongles receive MFi (made for iOS, CarPlay, etc) certification, like the blinker FS BT and the OBDLink MX+, it would be great to have MFi support. MFi has added security features as well as many of the benefits of BLE.

I realized that ABRP does not need ODB support if you are OK to connect it to your Tesla account. For sure I would prefer a direct link but usage of the "realtime" data from the Tesla account is OK. The caveats are : 1) does not work when you dont have access to your cellular network (either form the car or the phone). 2) you might not want to allow access to your Tesla acocunt from third parties applications.

Classic Bluetooth provides much better performance than BLE.

Try using a better OBD reader. That should support non ble devices.
Tom Greene
What is "a better OBD reader?"
The ABRP blog explicitly states that only BLE readers work - have you been able to get a non-BLE reader to work directly with ABRP? Which reader?
Installed on an (Android) phone, it can relay SoC information from the Bluetooth-OBD2 dongle to ABRP through their API.
