ABRP is very fond of motorways. It always tries to make me use those, even though it is for a very short distance. I have a certain route, where it happens regularly. The thing is, the calculated consumption is less on the alternative route, while the driving time is the same. So does ABRP take consumption into account when selecting a route? On this one for example: abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=44b392a9-eb31-4b8b-b893-1f4bfecf70c3
I would like to see not only the time difference for possible alternative routes via Android Auto but also the consumption difference. If I have an alternative with a delay of 4 min but 3 % less consumption, then I would take the alternative route.

Currently we do not offer the option to plan the 'lowest consumption' route. Moving this to feature requests.
We currently plan the fastest route for you, where we absolutely take consumption into consideration in order to spend less time on charging. Feel free to try the 'adjust speed' option to allow ABRP to plan with a slightly decreased speed to lower consumption (if relevant for the situation).

Hi Linda,
Thanks for your reply. Then it uses the route without motorways. But that setting is global (and not very easy to find) and it is used for every route.
In my oppinion ABRP as an app for electric vehicles mainly should take consumption into account when calculating routes. Maybe it should offer two alternatives (like Google Maps): the fastest and the ecologically best route.

Hi Henning
You can select Avoid highways in the settings. Go to Road conditions -> Avoid on route and Avoid highways.

Hi Henning
Concerning to be able to see the consumption of the alternative plans at CarPlay and Android Auto display, I agree with you.
