CarPlay now supports a second screen and sending nav info to a HUD, please implement this in ABRP.

Supported cars include MEB platform (ID3/4, ENYAQ, Born, Q4 e-tron) and BMW cars.

Merged with: ODBII Vehicle data dashboard and suggestions in CarPlay/Android Auto

Please, please, please... Create a dashboard display of live ODBII data - even something similar to the vehicle info screen in iOS and web would be great! Being able to see diagnostic data like battery temp would be so helpful and for some reason VW (and others) make it difficult or impossible to access any of it.
You could take this a step further and provide help hints (like Tesla) when a charging destination is selected - something like "The vehicles battery is cold, which will reduce charging speed. Precondition if possible or plan for longer charging times."

Merged with: ABRP via Android Auto in HUD VW Software 5.x

Since the new Software 5.x the HUD in all VW Brands (Audi, Skoda, Cupra) is able to show all navigation details of Google Maps incl. AR-Arrows via Android Auto. Will this be possible with ABRP as well?

It would be nice if the map where showed in apple CarPlay’s Home Screen. It don’t know. Allso on VW id cars if the Navi where showed in the HUD display like apple’s map is.

Any feedback from ABRP?

It would be great to see information like battery temperature displayed on the main screen while navigation is running. This feature would be appreciated by MEB users, as we currently can't see it anywhere, nor do we have the ability to manually or automatically preheat the battery during our trips.

Do this also for AndroidAuto

Without these features (sending turn-by-turn to small screen and HUD as well as making ABRP the navigation app shown in Car Play Home Screen) I have decided not to subscribe to ABRP Premium. Other map solutions supporting HUD are automatically better. My guess is that enabling this function would boost subscriptions.

Please add this as soon as possible.

This is the only thing that's preventing me from using ABRP as my primary navigator in my Enyaq. Please consider implementing this :)

Absolute, right. If ABRP would use the HUD of the are like Apple Maps is able, then Carplay is used for navigation. This would be the TOP Premium function. I have activated Premium to see this featuer up an running. So I will not use Premium until this will work.

I just want to second this should go hand in hand with making ABRP the navigation app showing in the CarPlay home screen.

Should be combined with: make ABRP be the active carplay navigation app that is displayed in the carplay home screen that combines map, next turn, media controls.

Merged with: Trip directions on ID.3 driver screen when using iOS

Avatar

Stefano De Gruttola

Native navigator and Apple Maps are able to show directions in the small screen in front of the driver, could you add it?

Avatar

James Moseley

The small display for driver does not show turn by turn for iOS.
