The ABRP-app crashs shortly after starting from carplay screen. If the app ist running in foreground on the iPhone the app runs stable on carplay screen after starting on it.

Hi, latest version should say 4.2.9 (1039). Please check that you have that version. If not close app and restart and it will pull latest patches. Then please try again and provide feedback here.

Same is true for me with version 4.29. Need to have to iphone app on the foreground so that the carplay app doesnt crash.

Same here: APRP v4.28 on Iphone 13 pro (IOS 15.5). Peugeot e-208

We see this crash as well on CarPlay. First we need to open the app once and even we can background it on iPhone. Then it works on CarPlay. Otherwise we see the map show up briefly on CarPlay and it crashes

Using 4.2.5. Very similar behavior for me, but using android auto. If the app is foreground on the phone it tends to work, but if it isn't, or in areas of poor cell reception, it tends to crash. I realize this might need to be a different bug request since it's android auto vs. carplay, but given the nearly identical behavior, I figured I'd start here.

I just experienced this with 4.2.5. I drove to work this morning, ABRP was showing the map through Carplay. Then I used some other apps (on my phone) during my workday and when I drove home I couldn't start ABRP on the Carplay screen, it just crashed like before.

I still have this issue with 4.2.4, although less frequently than before.

After update the app starts stable from carply screen. This problem is solved.
