I'm trying to plan my trip home and am seeing the following route planned:
abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=4f1fcbfc-7166-43c6-a8a0-cac395317033
There's an EA station (set as preferred for me since I have the free charging w/ my ID.4) in Tracy: abetterrouteplanner.com/?charger_id=6398029
When I force this into the route as a waypoint, the time drops from 8:29 to 7:36. I don't see why the algorithm doesn't plan for this anyways. I'm also including screenshots of the routes in case it isn't saved correctly.
Please let me know if there's something I'm doing wrong since this is making me feel like I can't trust the route planning of A Better Route Planner.
Thanks,
Sam

I reran the route (with Kirkwood, CA added to force it to the correct highways for this time of year). It's still choosing a bit of an inefficient route but the large detour is gone. I'm not sure which route is "better" since the longer one has a shorter amount of time charging and requires charging to 80% vs 95%. Maybe this good enough. I'm not sure.

Hi, we just pushed an update to find better chargers and to avoid these kind of detours. Could you please try again and check if there are any plans, where you still see such detours?

An update to this, I reran the routing and now see a different out-of-the-way charger being selected. Screenshot attached.
