Routing over A7 fails

There is a part on Autobahn A7, Germany where ABRP constantly fails to route and wants me to drive a long detour.

Just checked with live traffic enabled (that map refreshes faster than the static map). The detour is not taken anymore. Will be updated on static map without live traffic as soon in a few days.

We checked OSM again and found an issue that caused the detour. Updating the map used for routing will take a week or two, then you should see the fixed route. On routes with live traffic, this is updated more often and should be visible sooner.

Great news. I will check it soon. Thanks for your effort!

Hi,
this has been reported before, please see the conversation below. Unfortuntately this is not an easy fix as it is caused by a library we use and very hard to track down. You could however try the alternative routing in navigation settings (it's a premium feature though) in the meantime. There the problem does not exist.
If you are just using this for planning only, then the SoC estimation should not be too far off due to that detour. You can also send the planned route to Google Maps for example and that detour will of course not be sent to Maps.

Hi Samuel,

thanks for the info. Hopefully this gets fixed in the library anytime in the future.

Hi,

we just checked this and it seems it is related to a detour that is mapped on openstreetmap:
www.openstreetmap.org/relation/6502691#map=13/48.2469/10.1265

The openstreetmap routing behaves exactly the same:
routing.openstreetmap.de/?z=11¢er=49.003421%2C10.281830&loc=49.095199%2C10.210333&loc=48.868441%2C10.164242&hl=en&alt=0&srv=0

I however tried to adjust the modeling on OSRM a bit as we do not see the behaviour on other detours modeled on OSRM and i could spot a difference how they are modeled, so hopefully this will fix the issue.

It requires some time until we get the new data into our planner. I'll try this again later to see if the issue is fixed.
