Requirement of TTS Engine stalling.

There was no sound when starting the navigation, and then after a few days, starting the app again, there was a demand for the TTS Engine. However, when I install TTS and open the app, a message asking for TTS will still appear, and the navigation system still has no voice. However, my other Google phone doesn't have a similar problem. Please help, thank you!

Why do we not just use the system's TTS? This explicit check for a specific package seems unnecessary.

I have this problem too... on Android Box (ApplePie Ultra) + Carplay +MG. I use italian language for google tts. SO Android version 13

Hi,
I think of a factor that this phone was purchased in China.
I don't know if it's because there's no Google service in China.
Although Google Play and Android auto apps are installed, Only Android auto cannot be used.
My old Google Pixel4 is in normal use.
PS I am in Taiwan.

can you please make sure that the installed TTS engine is play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.tts
Maybe there is another instance for your language, which we do not correctly check?

Confirmed that tts is installed.. Same as Op, the android device is also from China (but with acces to PlayStore)

It seems like your phone does not have a Text-to-Speech engine. Do you have Google Play on the phone?
