Reference consumption increasing unrealistically - ID.4/Veepeak adpater

2021 VW ID.4
ABRP Version 4.1.13 (714)
VGate iCar Pro BLE 4.0

Prior to starting a long road trip, I reset the learned consumption and started on my trip. Noticed along the way that the reference consumption number was going up significantly. It was over 4.5 mi/kWh when I noticed it and climbed to over 7 mi/kWh, typically at the speeds I was driving it should have been in the 2.6-2.8 range.
During the trip I reset it several times and noticed that even at 75mph+ highway speeds it was still climbing. Finally had to force a more realistic number and not use the realtime data.
The build in integration for car data is a awesome feature and much appreciated!
Thanks
John

I'm using 4.1.16 and seeing reference consumption of 3.88. haven't actually realized that figure yet in actual driving. I am connected for live data. What am I doing wrong? thanks

Hi Samuel. Probably the version before that based on the dates. My trip was last Tuesday the 4th of January, before the 4.1.13 release date it seems. I have auto updates on and check them about once a week, so it was most likely the released version that was active on the 4th. I am not sure if it makes any difference but was also running it through Android Auto.

Ok i think we fixed this already with 4.1.13, we could see that the data went back to normal for most people recently. We also adjusted some more things in backend to make sure we prevent situations like this in future. Please reset your ref consumption again and check if it is now stable again.

Will leave this open until we get some feedback from your side.

Hi John,

one additional question.... 4.1.13 is quite new, did you use that version on your trip as well or did you maybe use a previous version? 4.1.13 was released on 6th of January, but might have been around in the stores from 8th on due to reviews and so on.

Thanks for reporting. We checked the data and can confirm, that something is not working correctly here. We will investigate this and come back to you once we know more.

Great and thanks for the quick response! But I was really hoping the data was right and I was getting 7mi/kWh :-)
