Phone heating in android auto.

When I am using ABRP with Android auto, it seems like ABRP is running in phone parallely. So this is heating up the phone and battery get drained soon.
This problems doesn't seems to exist with Google navigation. Please add option to stop the phone from running ABRP parallely.

I have same issue. Samsung S205G wired.

I experience the exact opposite on Android. Google Maps heats up the phone more than ABRP.

Hi, which phone do you use? Which ABRP version?

It is a UK Samsung galaxy s20 fe. 5g with Snapdragon processor. Latest original firmware with latest security update. Abrp 4.2.9. I had the same problem all the way through last few months.

And do you use wireless charging and/or wireless AA?

I tried with wired Android auto and wireless AA. Both same.

According to my own observation wireless heats up the phone much more in general, so it's not exactly the same. However Samsung phones seem to be affected by heating issues more often than other phones.

We only have one instance of ABRP running, even if you run it in parallel it is only one instance plus the AA UI, but the background logic is the same instance.

I would recommend to keep the phone more in the shadow as sun additionally also has quite a big impact. We will still check though if we can improve things further.

Let me use wired and wireless option and give you further update. I normally keeps the phone away from sunshine.
Thank you.
