Since two weeks, the OBD connection with the app is very unstable. After starting the car, the OBD needs to be unlinked and linked again with ABPR. This is only possible when the phone is not connected with the USB cable to the car. Until two weeks ago, the connection was rock solid.

We are pushing ABRP 5.0.5 for app stores review today with a proper fix for this issue. Stay tuned!
Frank Stijnen
The fix doesn't work after some more testing. The connection is established correctly if ABRP is stated on the phone, makes the OBD connection and then is connected to the car via USB. If the phone is first connected to the car and then ABRP is started, the connection with the OBD will not work.

Fix is not working for me, with 5.0.2 I always get a stable OBD connection, but with 5.0.3 and 5.0.4 only with Lots of manual work (unlinking, phone restarting, and this every time)

Idem pour moi, même avec la correction 2943.

We have just issued a hot fix for this problem which was caused by a minor library version update earlier in the month.
Build 2943 will be automatically installed if you kill and restart ABRP (check the bottom of the settings menu). Let me know how it works for you!

We have a likely solution to this in internal testing today, will be able to issue a hotfix later today if it is working as it should.

With the bug button

I found your log but can only see successful OBD data reading (we only see the last couple of minutes in the bug report). Can you please press the bug button after you get back to the car and the OBD read does not work?

I have sent a bug report via the app

It's similar for me. After starting the car, the OBD is no longer recognized.

If you can also do the bug button thing described by Linda below it would help us!
Frank Stijnen
Done, thanks!

Thank you, the log is found and contains some data we can work on.

Hi
To help us figure out what is wrong please enable the bug button in the settings. Go to the settings and scroll all the way down and turn on the bug button. When you are in the car and have put in the OBD in the car press the bug button on the screen. After you have done this please contact us through the app in the settings under Support & feedback so we get your information. Then we can look at your bug report to see why the OBD won't connect.

I am also having the same issue. New app update did not fix it. I thought it was only after restarting phone that it would work but maybe this is because it breaks the link with the android auto as mentioned above.
