I use an OBDLink CX with my Audi Q8 e-tron (MY 2022) since August 2023 without any issues. With the newest updates and even with version 5.0.2 it tells me that I cannot connect the OBD Dongle with ABRP because of an communication error with the car. BLE Connection with the dongle is ok.
Here is the error message copied from ABRP:

Same issue, but with a Skoda Enyaq

Short Update. Bought a new OBD dongle to check if the problem is with the existing OBDLink CX dongel. Got a Vgate MC+.
Tried to connect it to ABRP without any Bluetooth connection to my Audi.
It ended in the same result, that it says it cannot communicate with the car.
As I said, mayve Audi made changes to the OBD interface? Anybody else having troubles with Audi Q8 E-Tron since ABRP update to 5.0.3 or higher?
Maybe somebody have some hints for me as I read a lot of ABRP posts that with version 5.0.5 the OBD issue should be solved...

I updated to the newest version 5.0.5 and still the OBD connection to my Audi does not work.
May it be possible that Audi changed something in their software that the values cannot be read anymore via the OBD interface?
I dont know if Audi is doing software updates over the air. I often see that they do updates to their map content but not if it also effects the software of the car itself.
I think they are just updating the maps and not the software of the car. Maybe they do that kind of update when the car comes to a service stopp. But that has not happend yet.
I am wondering that even reverting back to version 5.0.2 or older does not work anymore and comes to the same error as the up to date versions.

I am having similar issue with OBDLink, Chevy Bolt 2020, and Motorola phone. I uninstalled ABRP and reinstalled ABRP. That worked for one trip. I will try work around and am monitoring this thread.

The ODB connection issue is a known bug, it's taking weeks to fix it. In the meanwhile a workaround: start ABRP *before* connecting via Android Auto

Yes same issue I am having here, not connecting to the car headunit but working ok on the mobile phone app on the phone only while driving.

That doesnt work for me neither.
Problem seems to be the connection or communication with the car.
It says that the car configuration was sucessfully loaded, BLE connection established but than it fails while connecting to the car in the third step.
My hope was to use an older Version of ABRP where it worked perfectly.
But even with 5.0.2 installed it did not work.
Maybe I revert back to 5.0.1 to see if it still works in that version.
