Not possible to plan a trip on closed roads

If a road is closed today and I want to travel there next week when it is opened I cannot plan the trip. I should be able to plan a trip over a closed mountain pass ahead, and not wait with the planning until it opens.

+1, want to plan my summer trip over the Alps , but cannot plan today because most mountains passes are still closed but will be open in summer!

Should be able to go almost straight over the mountain instead of around it.

Can you please add a link to the plan so I can see what our source says about the dates for when it's open. Which road is closed now?
