i'd asked for 35% SoC on arrival; there are options for a long charge at abergavenny if taking the A470; or north through england and then west topping up at shrewsbury, craven arms or near by

Hi Steve,
Definitely looks like this is related to the min arrival SoC. At the same time I can see that the entered value isn't respected, no matter if it is entered in settings or applied directly to the final waypoint.
We'll be looking into what's causing this.

explicitly marking osprey as a preferred network found the charger and so produced the correct route.
