I want to charge with a specific charging provider (Tesla superchargers for non-Tesla). I excluded about 40 providers and charging stations but still ABRP refuses to plan along suitable Tesla superchargers. Now ABRP gives the message “no valid route found …”. Charging card set to Tesla Memebership and preferred provider set to Tesla. Only if manually plan from Tesla supercharger to supercharger (see my saved route) ABRP takes the charging stations into account.

Seems to be solved but only when enough other networks are excluded. But it works for me this way. Many thanks for the great and fast support.

In a similar fashion, for vehicles like the upcoming Rivian R2, there doesn’t seem to be a way to allow charging at non-Tesla CCS stations like those from Electrify America. Currently, unable to plan a route from somewhere in Kansas to Denver, Colorado. Need an option for the users to specify that they have either the NACS to CCS adapter or similarly the CCS to NACS adapter.

Merged with: Route planning does not include Tesla-superchargers for non-Tesla cars

ABRP does not show any Tesla superchargers in its planning for my BYD Seal though countries in Europe. Specific Tesla Super chargers are open for non-Tesla cars and I have a Tesla membership as non-Tesla driver. Although in ABRP my Tesla member card was added (beta) and Tesla was the preferred charging network. I excluded at least 20 networks and chargers by re-planning again and again but still no route that included Tesla superchargers.

Hi Anthony,
Between which two addresses are you attempting to plan?

Hi Anthony,
I've checked and been able to replicate the behaviour. This is related to how we try to filter among a lot of good charger options in this area in different steps when providing you a plan.
It is not that we prohibit non-tesla EVs from utilizing Tesla chargers that are open to non-Tesla EVs. If you create a plan more south or north we'll include Tesla chargers but the amount of chargers in this area adds complexity for selection and we end up with this issue.
We'll continue to investigate.

Hi again Anthony,
We've found the issue and we're hopeful we'll be able to implement a fix for this soon.

That one Tesla charger showed up is more a coincidence. I replanned the same route al least 25 times. Only in one occasion this Tesla charger was shown. Actually I only want to use Tesla chargers during the route. No option to exclude all others even when Tesla member card is the only one added and Tesla is the preferred option. Only when setting my car to Tesla then only Tesla charger are shown.
What if I set the car to Tesla instead of my BYD Seal and use a OBD interface for live data, would ABRP calculate based on the live data?

Hi Antony
I just looked at your account and it seems that you have solved it. If not please let me know.

Hi
My colleague will look into this.
You can't change to a Tesla in the app. Since your car is not a Tesla the plan will not be correct and you can't connect an OBD when you have selected a Tesla.

For the investigation: I excluded around 40 networks and chargers. The route planning refuses to take Tesla Superchargers into account (except in 1 or 2 occasions). The route is now so far diverted from the original route (A3 in Germany) that it makes no sense or no valid plan found. Several Tesla superchargers available for non Tesla are added to my saved destinations and are shown as markers on the map along the original route.
