Like some Updates before the favorites in Android Auto are gone.
They are not displayed. Menu is empty. Android 13, newest 5.4.2, newest AA, but problem is there again since 5.4.1 or even 5.4.0.

This will be fixed in one of the upcoming versions.

In ABRP habe ich die Favoriten "Zuhause" und "Arbeit" festgelegt, in android auto wird mir aber unter Favoriten nur "Arbeit" angezeigt.

Hi Gert,
could you please remove them both and add them again? This is probably due to a migration issue into a new data format. Let me know if that works, so we can check our migration code.
Gert Rehding
I reinstalled ABRP and AA and now I have the latest version of AA (the task bar is displayed on the left side instead on the bottom), but the favourite "Zuhause" still isn't displayed in AA. In the app it's displayed.
Samuel_ABRP
I meant remove the home and work position in the app and then add them again, not the app itself. Please try that.
Gert Rehding
Thank you very much, now it is displayed, everything is working fine :)
Samuel_ABRP
Hi Joachim,
i could see that this is from migrating to a new format. Once you remove and re-add the favorites, you should be fine and they should show up again. It should have been migrated automatically, but it looks like there were some issues in some cases, so we will try to fix this on our side too, so in case you want to leave it as it is, that is fine too, but it might take a few days.
@Martin Schmiedel, I saw in your settings, that all of the entries are in the new format already, did you already exchange yours completely, or is any of the 3 still not showing up and if so which one (home, work, the city)?
Martin Schmiedel
Hi, no, there is only one favorite (the one I added later just for testing, the original ones are still missing), here the screenshot from yesterday evening.
I could regenerate the two favorites (in this case not a big deal), but I am really thinking about adding many more locations, so regenerating on updates is not a thing I am willing to do in the future... 😉
I already reinstalled the app, and deleted app data/cache, no change, so this is something that must be missing at some service on your backend.
Bo_ABRP
Is anything else missing, like your saved plans or search history?
Martin Schmiedel
No, saved plans and search history are good. BTW, sometimes when ABRP behaves strangely is when there is poor network connection. This happens often when I am in front of my house and the phone is still trying to get the last remains of WiFi coverage before switching to mobile network, in these cases ABRP often shows only a black screen or behaves unexpectedly...
Maybe the migration errors could be caused by this kind of scenarios...

In Android Auto, I can no longer choose favorites that are saved, I can see them in the Android App, in Web, but Android Auto just shows empty list when clicking on the "Favorites" star.

No, also not with ABRP running. No favourites.

Hi, can you please try again, when the ABRP app is started on phone before connecting to AA? Do the favorites show up then?
Martin Schmiedel
In my case: favorites are shown in the app, no matter if connected to the car or not, but on Android Auto Screen, when clicking the "star" icon, nothing is shown.
Samuel_ABRP
Could you please try to add another favorite, just a random one, and check if that one is shown or if that one is hidden as well? Just want to make sure it is not a migration issue. If the new one appears and the old ones not, there might be a migration issue from an earlier version.
Martin Schmiedel
Yep, can confirm this, new favorites appear, old ones are gone...
Samuel_ABRP
Thanks for that information. We will do something about this.
