After setting trip details etc I drive for less than a mile then resets to start point and won't change location all other data still works or speed battery charge just won't navigate

Hi, do you use live data for your car? If so which one? Does it helps to toggle the option "override car position" in vehicle settings, that are available when you click the gear icon behind your car in settings, and then scroll down to vehicle specific settings.

I use leafspy Pro for data. the map updates properly when not navigating ie if I turn navigation off the app displays my position and travel but as soon as I start navigation it goes back to the start also I am using the android app on my phone the car does not have android play

Leafspy does not report the position for live data properly, so you have to enable that override option i mentioned.
