When stuck in a traffic jam in a tunnel the navigation continues even for further turns after the tunnel. It seems it is not checking the GPS after the tunnel (what for signal after tunnel). When I exit the tunnel, the position is switched back to the correct one (tunnel exit).

Understood. But you should know from the data when a tunnel is over. If there is no GPS data after the tunnel, it should not extrapolating further.

That is correct, if we have no GPS signal in a tunnel and no speed live data from the car we are just extrapolating using the expected speed.

But you can get car speed from OBD right? At least some cars have this variable I think. Maybe that can be used to determine movement speed in tunnel when no GPS is available?

Exactly, we do use that when it is available, however for most of our OBD vehicles we do not have this variable (as it is usually simply obtained from GPS).
