2023 Bolt EV - I have Android Auto set to start with my car, and I like to use ABRP as the default navigation due to the passive detail of the AA map - but sometimes, when the navigation loads, the map is black, though I can see the buttons, and in fact, when hitting the map icon in AA it will switch to satellite view and show that just fine, but then I can't switch back to the standard ABRP map view. I have noticed that this happens more when I'm starting the car away from home. I usually have to go into my phone and restart ABRP and / or Android Auto a couple times to get it to work and start ABRP with my chosen default ABRP map showing

Since one of the last updates, there is a problem with the viewability of the map with android auto. After starting abrp, the screen is dark, only symbols for actions like target selection are visible. Other apps on Android Auto are working fine. Sometimes the maps comes back after minutes, but sometimes only restarting the phone(pixel 7) solves the problem. It is not a mobile network problem! And it is a new problem since around two weeks.

Hi,
this was something i tried to fix last time already, but looks like i was not successful. However i could finally hunt down the root cause of this issue and finally fixed it, so it will definitely be available with the next release.
As a workaround you could use the map icon on the lower right to switch to satellite maps, so you can at least see something.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Same here. I usually swipe away abrp from recent apps to clear it from ram and it works when abrp is restarted.
