Just a search bar on android automotive

After installing ABRP on the head-unit in my Megane E-Tech using the built-in app store, and granting it all permissions, I can start it up, get a loader screen, and then it switches to a display with an input field and a search button, but it does not appear to do anything. Is there a step I'm missing?
