Inefficient routing alternatives on long-distance trips

C
Carsten

When planning a long-distance trip (Germany => Spain) ABRP introduces some apparently inefficient options in the last 3rd of the trip (=> abetterrouteplanner.com/?plan_uuid=43ce2563-0322-43d9-9b38-20f20780da17).
When changing the SOC at start from 100% to 95% the outcomes are as expected. Could you please review? Thanks, Carsten

Please see the attached screenshot.
The two detours
(1) through the Pyrenees and
(2) via Zaragoza
are exactly what was calculated yesterday as well. They add 4 to 5 hours to the trip.

Hi Carsten,

I'm not seeing the same results currently. Are these still generated for you when you plan this trip?

Not these two but one of the suggested alternatives is routing through La Seu d‘Urgell adds 2:48 hrs.

My expectation would be to rather get alternatives charging strategies instead of routes which add approx 15% to the total travel time.
Thanks

Hi,

Could you provide more information on how the options are inefficient and how you'd like it instead?

It would also be helpful if you could provide screenshots of what you see, it is possible that we calculate the plan slightly differently due to changes in live parameters (weather, traffic, chargers etc.)

Hi ABRP team, is there any update to this one? Thanks,
