In car use freezing after 5-10 minutes of use since 24th April update

On version 4.7.10 a new issue has arisen where the app freezes on screen in Android Auto. Killing the app in Android sometimes fixes the issue, but it usually recurs on the same journey. App was working flawlessly before the update 24th April. Phone is Pixel 7a, fully up to date, not rooted. Android Auto by cable to MG4 head unit.

Sorry about this hang - it should be fixed in the ABRP 4.7.11 update which got published yesterday.

Can confirm used updated version this morning in Android and it was fixed. Also noted that the algorithm for estimating battery charge level at destination was significantly more accurate (today 90% estimated, 91% actual, previous version 85% estimated, 91% arrival). Maybe I've done "something" but this is a big improvement for me

Forcing App to close or restart the Phone does not help. Only deinstall and reinstall works. Google Pixel 8pro

Hi! Same thing here. But I can say more : it happens every time you have to stop at an intersection. When you can drive without stopping, everything works fine, but when you have to stop before changing your direction, and then you start to drive again, the map just try to move a little and then freeze.
I hope it'll be fixed soon, because it's clearly annoying 😅
Plus, I really love ABRP, best app to travel with an EV!

I am also running 4.7.10. Just completed my first drive using ABRP with OBD Live Data and Android Auto in Kia EV6. Worked fine for first 3 hours of 5 hour drive, then started freezing. Managed to restart it a couple of times but would repeat within 20 minutes. Was not touching anything at time of freeze. Finally, it froze badly enough that even a phone restart would not unfreeze it. Uninstall/reinstall got it going again but froze again shortly after. Gave up and used G-Maps for rest of journey.

Sice least update in April 2024 aprp it's freezing under usage with android auto. Wenn disconnected the app comes sometimes back alive.

Same here, I've tried force closing, disconnecting the usb cable, but only sometimes it works again
