GPS Lag in CarPlay 4.2.5

Installed CarPlay version 4.2.5. When navigating, the voice prompts are timely but the map itself lags terribly. My car icon is a good 1/4 mile behind where my car actually is. No such lag when using any other navigation app.

I can confirm that. GPS is very laggy after a short time. But it is Version 4.2.8 (iOS 15.5 / iPhone 11 Pro Max)

Whenever I use Apple CarPlay my location lags so much behind where I really am that directions become useless.

Hi David,
is the map always with the same distance behind the current position, or does the map seems to freeze and jumps every 5 seconds in driving direction to update the car position?
I use ABRP V4.2.5 with iPhone 11 Pro iOS 15.5, and sometimes the map is jumping like written. After a complete new start of the App the issue is gone.

Sorry I missed your question. In prior versions, I saw the map jumping behavior. In 4.2.5, it seems to always lag the same distance. The voice prompts, however, are coming through at the right time.

We are working on this one and think we have found the cause. Testing will happen this week and hopefully we have a 4.2.6 with a solution soon.

Hi, 4.2.6 did not bring any solution to the jumping & lagging at all!! - This way, it is nearly impossible not to miss turns/ intersections in unknown territory
