Forgets dark mode when reopening

1. Have UI mode according to device settings
2. Connect to an Apple CarPlay at night
3. Open ABRP. It will show in dark mode (because CarPlay modifies the settings)
4. Swipe up to see Home
5. Reopen ABRP. The navigation pane wrongly is in bright mode, now.
Also happens during navigation, wenn I swipe to another app and back.

I prefer to have my maps in the CarPlay screen always in dark mode, but each time I start up fresh it has returned to daylight mode. How can I fix this to dark mode, that is stays dark mode? Perhaps make it possible in the app? It is still not possible Thank you.
