I've checked with our developers and we did fix issues with crashes in a recent release, could you check that you have the very latest version for Android?
It should be version 4.6.2 (2445) or higher.

Do I understand you correctly that the app crashes when you're attempting to start navigation in Android Auto?
Does the Android app also crash or only Android Auto?
What version of the ABRP app are you using when this happens?
