Phone: Oneplus 7 Pro
Car: Skoda Enyaq IV 60 year: 2023
When it's running on Android Auto over Blutooth it chrashes and freezes map or just black screen.

If you run it over Cable it works.

Okay i haven't had time to reset phone yet.. i might get to it tonight.. i can run Google Maps, TomTom Go, Plex, Tidal, Clever app, MySkoda, EasyPark on android Auto without any problems. I installed G-CPU to monitor my cpu/ram usage and nothing special is showing.. cpu usage flickers a bit up and down.. but seldom gets over 80% cpu usage.. and i have about 7120 MB free Memory.. phone doesn't get hot when running apps.. if i charge it at the same time it does gets a bit hot, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Hi Mikkel,

this sounds like an issue with wireless Android Auto. As you can confirm it works with the cable, but not without, it rather sounds like something is causing wireless Android Auto to behave weirdly, which results in the app not working properly.

For us it does not really make a difference, if the app runs via wireless AA or wired AA, as the app instance and the behavior from our side is completely the same. Android Auto is actually a black box for us as well, so for us the Google SDK does not do any differentiation here.

To me it sounds like either your phone is for some reason not performant enough for wireless AA or there is any other issue going on, for example slow wireless transmission that internally causes issues. It could as well be, that too many background processes somehow disturb wireless AA here. For your information: Wireless AA is much more CPU intensive, than wired AA.

So my proposal here would be to reset your phone once, and then run wireless AA again, to check if there is a difference. The other option would be to remove as many apps, as you can (for example old ones you do not use anyways).

Also please try some other apps via wireless AA. Can you please tell us how they behave? Are they running very smooth, or are they running rather sluggish, does the phone get very hot when you run wireless AA and so on.

Please provide as much information as possible.

Thanks
Samuel
