By changing the numerical fields to a number keypad entry method on iOS this has removed the ability to move the cursor by long pressing the keyboard. Due to the right alignment of the numbers in the fields clicking on them generally inserts the cursor to the left of the number as per the photo making the backspace function inoperable, it is then often difficult/fiddly to place the cursor to the right hand side of the number due to the small gap between the final number and the prepoulated unit/value here between the 0 and %. Is it possible to enable the long press cursor navigation on a numerical keypad? If not can the cursor default to the end of the field upon selection or can the numbers be left aligned or can the standard keyboard be reinstated?

This update has been made and if not already in the app and web it will be there in short. Thanks, everyone for your great feedback!

We met some issues with differences between platforms but will probably soon change it to what mh below suggested, aka the text will be selected on click for these fields.

Thanks Mattias, auto select of number in field so it can be overwritten is of course a appropriate solution here (thanks mh for the suggestion) . Sounds like those with older phone have the cursor functionality, but this solution will work for all.

It's not "long press", but "3D Touch", i.e. pressing harder. And it works for me.
Why set the cursor to the right? Why not selecting the whole number on focusing the input field? It's much faster to type a new percentage (overwriting the selected text) instead of deleting the old text and typing the new one?

3D Touch has not existed on an iPhone since the X/XS

Long pressing the number pad works for me, lets me move the cursor on iPhone XS, iOS 15.2 and app v4.1.11?
But agree, the cursor should default to insert at the right hand side so the backspace works.
Matthew Nord
Strange mine does not! iOS 15.2 and App v4.1.11 on 12 Pro. When you press and hold on the full keyboard the keys grey out per as attached photo and the cursor moves with finger (blue cursor moves to right), however on numerical keypad it does not and you just get the key pressed applied once you release. So if you long press 5 it just inserts a 5 in front of the value when you release.

How odd, here’s mine. You can see it’s hovering over the numbers.

Hey Matthew, thanks for this feedback. We will look into moving the cursor to the end of the input when you click it.
