Carplay screen goes blank

Every now and then the ABRP goes blank when I enter the car. Sometimes it is not possible to get it working without leaving the car and try again next drive. I have killed the app on my phone and restarted the infotainment system without any luck.
Other apps in Carplay work fine when this happens, it is only affecting ABRP.

I’m having this same issue. Just tried to open a new ticket. I’m driving an F150 Lightning and have the premium ABRP subscription.

If it happens again, could you please try going to Airplane mode and back to see if that reset the connection? It helps us understand the source of the problem. (Assuming that you use wireless CarPlay)

Hi!
It has happened to me twice today. It doesn’t help to set the phone in flight mode, as the wifi remains connected.
I did however turn wifi on/off through control center, after doing this twice, ABRP works again. This worked on both occasions today.

It looks like you are driving an ID.3 - is that correct? We have not seen any other similar issues recently - is there anything you think could be special your case?

That's right, I drive an ID.3 with ID SW 2.4.

The only special thing I could come to think of is that I have background app refresh off on my Iphone... but that has been the case for years, and I've had no such issues before.. it started a few ABRP versions back, but I can't recall exactly when.

I used ABRP in Carplay extensively during my summer roadtrip without any problems for instance.

I have now noticed a few times that I end up in an identical looking ”screen” (blank) but then the map loads after say 5-10 seconds.
I suspect that perhaps this has something to do with an unstable internet connection that (for the originally reported issue) hangs on some occasions without retrying enough times, presumed that the map view is loaded from remote… Just a thought from my side.

So this happens typically when you are in a bad connection area?

I wouldn't say so generally. It is hard to pinpoint, but I experience it in an above ground parking garage in the middle of the city where I have many "bars", but perhaps there is still a problem with interference/throughput? I also experience it at home, perhaps it is some issue with shifting from WiFi to 4G. I have also noticed it in other places, but that is more random...
I am just thinking out "loud", trying to think of what could be the cause based on what i experience along the way
