Connection fails during step 3 - a reading step hang on for too long and not enough data is read based on the model you guys have.

Same issue for me. A Veepeak BLE dongle that I've been using for about 2 years with my Zoë and a pixel 4a (Android 13). Changed phones to a Pixel 7 and started seeing OBD data issues (mostly failing to connect). Removed and relinked dongle, getting the issues described multiple (took 7-8 attempts). Since linking most journeys don't establish and maintain a link. Screenshot attached shows status of connected, 10 minutes after leaving car. Before that a 30 minutes drive, but last update time was at start of the drive, so there was no battery charge update during the drive as ABRP thought linked with love data even though it was stale. This morning started a drive with dongle unplugged, but ABRP still showed a connection being established and, bizarrely, a 30% charge - update last night was at 63% and vehicle.was actually at 100%.
Have noticed on status screen that a connection gets established and some data exchange takes place (can see status swapping between reading and writing), then hangs on 'writing' and that's it. On Android Auto sometimes see Bluetooth icon cycle red - blue - green and repeat a few times. Once in a blue moon it actually connects and data flows.

The first few times, the app didn't allow me to save the connection, but after a few tries it did save. Sometimes the link cannot read the SOC still.

Hi,
Did you still try to proceed? Maybe it's just missing a not so important value, or could just not read it this time and it might work again next time.
