Better way of getting rid of duplicate chargers

To my knowledge, there isn't a good way of reporting duplicate chargers right now.
Could we maybe automate this by making a bot remove it if there are two chargers with identical equipment in a certain radius?
There have been multiple locations that I've been complaining about ever since I started using abrp but I know that there's not enough time in the day for a human to check each and every one of the duplicates.

Hi Luka,

We already to automatic de-duplication but sometimes the data isn't similar enough for us to detect a duplicate. We also don't want to remove non-duplicates.

If you've got an example of duplicates we haven't been able to detect please let us know.

Hey Katya! Thanks for the quick response.
Yes, here are some examples:
These two are basically the same charger. This location got upgraded recently so the entry with live data contains the equipment of both the original charger, which is still there, and the new more powerful charger. The old one without live data however contains only the old charging equipment.
On top of that, the old charger location was wrong while the new one is correct.
Here are the ABRP links:
abetterrouteplanner.com/?charger_id=1225282658
abetterrouteplanner.com/?charger_id=126176891

Another instance of duplicate chargers is just a few meters away.
These two have identical equipment and almost the same name.
abetterrouteplanner.com/?charger_id=31352
abetterrouteplanner.com/?charger_id=152175269

Another one is just a few kilometers away at a shopping mall. Here we have two chargers with live data that are correct and one without that's a duplicate of one of the chargers with live data:
abetterrouteplanner.com/?charger_id=209778
abetterrouteplanner.com/?charger_id=28693568

Anyway, I know this can be a pretty tricky situation to solve and that there's probably more pressing issues to tackle right now so I apprechiate you taking the time to look at this.

Hi Luka,

Thank you!

I've checked these and found the following;

1. Both locations come from the same source, Ecomovement. I've reported this to them so that they in turn, can ask the data provider(s) for corrections.

2. 31352 comes from openchargemap.org and 152175269 comes from goingelectric.de. I think here the issue is that neither is reported with a network/operator and the names are slightly different too. Which of these is the most correct and which network does the charger belong to?

3. 28693568 comes from EM and 209778 comes from goingelectric.de. They're likely not close enough in distance and similarity in name for us to detect as duplicates. Which one of these is in the correct location on the map?

We are working on making it easier for users to report inaccuracies, but we're not quite there yet.

2. Both of these are technically correct but I'd go with 152175269
3. Yeah the locations are confusing here. I did go there and check and there's only two charging locations in this supermarket. One is on the roof (843184235) and on is on the 2nd level (28693568). The third (209778) is a duplicate of 843184235. There's no third charger there and the equipement matches most closely to that one.
And no worries :) You guys are doing great work! Keep it up!
