Arriving 20% SOC higher than predicted

M
Mick

Couple of longer drives in the uk recently. From starting 100% charge arrived at 40% rather than ~20%
predicted by the app.
The car is returning ~3.4miles per kWh and the app is using 3.38 miles per kWh so that does not explain the difference.
Basic version of the app. With 20% extra charger it’s just not optimal charging.
Had a headwind on the trip so wasn’t that.
Can’t see any other settings to bring this accuracy in ?
Car is Kia EV6 and using the shared EV6/Ioniq 5 profile.
Same route predictions iphone app and internet.

Hi Mick,

Sounds like you might not have a very accurate value for 'reference consumption' set. Please note that this value does NOT equal the average provided by your car. More information: www.iternio.com/faq?questionId=bb7c437e-e4e7-474f-bf2c-3926265ae007&appDefId=14c92d28-031e-7910-c9a8-a670011e062d

I could also advise you to check the settings for 'speed' as this can have great impact on how high we'll predict your consumption.

Hello. Thanks for the reply.
Reference speed is 100% and max speed is 81 mph. Seems very sensible and close to your reference speed (65mph) for a long journey mostly on motorway with cruise control set at 70mph.
The 3.38 reference range comes from when I had premium account was live linked through OBD2. I don’t know how to make it more accurate than that.
Feels like something else to me.

To replicate what ABRP is giving me i have to set the consumption at 2.7 mi/kwh which is far lower than the worse figure i have measured.
The achieved consumption over two legs of the journey (over 100 miles each) is 3.46 and 3.57 miles/kwh. This is straddling the reference range at 70 mph.
