App is frequently freezing

On a long journey today the app has frequently stopped responding and had to be force closed.

Hi Laurence,

We need more information to be able to investigate this. Please let us know;

1. What type of device are you using? (iOS or Android? device model?)
2. What OS version is this device running?
3. What version of the ABRP app are you using? (app version number can be found at the bottom of the settings menu)
4. Are you using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto when this occurs?
5. Did the app behave this way after any specific action? (press of a button, spoken navigation instruction or any other event?)

Hi Katya,

Device: iPhone 13 Pro iOS 16.1
ABRP Version: 4.2.12(1157)

Crash/freeze seen both with CarPlay and without it.

Lockup happened during navigation. Driving along when the map stopped updating and an error message was shown. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a screen shot, but it was something like ‘there has been a problem, please restart the app’.

We've since released version 4.3.0, could you verify if the described behavior still is present in the new version for you?
