Alternate planning strategy

For people who want to stop along the route to eat, and charge when they are stopped, it would be nice to be able to plan a route by having the app show restaurants at locations near charging stops as the primary way of selecting locations so a person could add restaurants or rest stops to the route, narrowing it down by specific EV charging providers if desired. It's a lot less helpful for people who want to charge while they'd be stopped for lunch if the route planner finds places to charge, and then it becomes a matter of exploring each area for what's nearby, and then searching manually for what's near each potential stop if the selected stops don't have what the person is looking for.

Hi Wayne,

Sounds like you're looking for the amenity feature; www.iternio.com/manual?questionId=d1fea151-dbd3-480f-b22d-0123b91896b9&appDefId=14c92d28-031e-7910-c9a8-a670011e062d

You can either add an amenity stop directly to the plan, add an amenity stop close by an existing waypoint or check out amenities nearby stops recognised as chargers.

No, I'm looking for the opposite. I don't want to start off with charging locations that may or may not be near something, check to see what is nearby, then look for alternate stops along the route and repeat the process. I want to be able to start off with something showing me amenities that are along the route and that are within walking distance (selectable distance) of charging stations that meet my requirements. I could then select the amenities, knowing that I could charge while stopped at them. Any other charging stops needed for the trip could be added automatically after that.

If I'm planning a trip, know that I want to stop on the way for lunch for about 45 minutes around a particular time of day, stop later for a short restroom break, and charge while I'd be stopping anyway, then starting off with a trip that's optimized to minimize travel and charging time based on the initial assumption that I won't be stopping for something else isn't what I need.

Hi Wayne,

The amenities feature works in different ways. When you've created a plan, you can both;

- In charger details, view all amenities near the charger

- Add an amenity to the charging stop by using the options button where you specify max distance, type, and time you stay for
(I can see that the charger one chooses to edit isn't always chosen as the first option but it is possible to toggle to the correct one. I've had this noted so we can correct it!)

- Or, you can add an amenity stop from the beginning, where you also specify distance, stop duration and, in this case also when you'll stop - where you're able to specify a time.

Hope this helps!
