Adding a man additional location

The latest version assumes that you want to add a new end location when you request to add somewhere along route. Previous versions assumed that the end destination remained the same and it was an interim location that was to be inserted. What is the design strategy behind this design change?

We will change the wording of the button to make it more clear what it does. It is clear, though, that we cannot avoid having to move the waypoint to where you actually want it, no matter what option we go with :)

Whenever I look up a destination, it will allow me to click it, but shows it blank on the list of destinations. It says along the route.

This is likely a different issue which was merged by mistake (sorry). What platform are you on (phone/computer, browser)?

I think Adrian means that a destination is sorted into an empty route as waypoint ("along the route") , but not as a destination as one might expect with an empty route

Hi Bo - I disagree with your design concept - it’s far more likely that a user will add a number of journey stops when the stat and end location has been initially planned. Why would a user keep changing their final destination?
From my perspective - please change back to earlier functionality instead of changing the label of what is a flawed design.
Please let me know if you are going to reverse your current thinking.

I think the wording "add waypoint" should perhaps be "add stop" to make it more clear, but adding it at the end seems to be the more common use case for this feature, which is why we changed it.

Please return the behaviour to what it was in the past.
How do people plan their trip?
They choose their destination.
In many cases, they choose additional intermediate points because they want to look at things, they want to eat somewhere, they want to charge at specific locations, etc.
And these points are no new destination but intermediate destinations. :-)

Same problem for me.
This is how you reproduce the problem:
Any destination is chosen as a starting situation. (Screenshot #1)
When I click on „add waypoint“ ABRP adds it as a new „the end of the trip“. (Screenshot #2)
But it should add it as „somewhere along the way“ above the destination (screenshot #3)
When the plan is cleared and no destination is choosen, clicking on „add waypoint“ adds a new „somewhere along the way“ at the correct position. (screenshot #4)
