AbRP kills other nav apps

I often use Apple Maps for routing but whenever I run abrp at the same time it blocks Apple Maps from showing route instructions next to the speedometer in my vw Id.4. If i start navigating with Apple Maps and then ABRP the instructions next to the speedometer freeze and stop updating.

A solution might be to be able to disable apple carplay for ABRP?

Cheers

Sounds like it could be a simple switch in the settings. We will add it to the list and let you know once ready.

Same thing happens if using the built in vw navigation and ABRP together

Can't use ABRP via Apple Carplay and the built in navigation at the same time. Pretty sure that is by design. My eGolf says the same thing when I use Android Auto. The digital instrument cluster can't show the map like it does with internal navigation.
I believe this is possible to do in some cars that support these two by also using secondary display that the instrument cluster basically is.

Why would you need ABRP anyway in an ID.4? Will it not do the same thing with internal navigation?

With apple maps navigation the digital instrument cluster will show guidance instructions. If I use ABRP at the same time (for range info) the guidance from apple maps stops being displayed in the instrument cluster.
I seldomly use the builtin navigation as it is hard to filter charge providers or select specific charge stops. Further I like to "preplan" the trips on ABRP.
I much prefer the route display on apple maps or google maps than either the builtin or ABRP.

Ideally I would like to be able to disable apple carplay for ABRP and have the route displayed on the phone instead to monitor range and charge stops while navigating with another software.
