ABRP Android Automotive App - Renault Megane E-Tech

Avatar

Hello, I managed to connect my Megane E-Tech to the new ABRP Automotive App and the application seems to retrieve and correctly refreshing the information via the internal Android Automotive system as shown in the screenshot (Connected - Automotive, synchronized a few seconds ago).

The location, temperature and altitude information are correct, but the battery level and charging power data don't seem to work at all.

However, during first startup, the application asks for authorization to read the car's internal data (i.e. the battery...).

I've tried uninstalling, adding/removing permissions, starting the car, putting the car on standby several times, but it keeps coming back to the same problem.

I try to connect the megane via android automotive a couple of times now. I managed to connect it but it still dont show me the actual state of charge. And it randomly updates the connection. I was sitting in the my car a couple of minutes ago and it said the last update was 4 days ago. I am not able to connect the megane. Tried to uninstall the app a couple of times but nothing seemes to work

Hi, I'm also having the same problem. Just installed the app. It showed me the correct battery charge percentage, but unfortunately it no longer works.

Hi Clément,

can you please send a bug report? For that please go to settings in the automotive app and enable bug report in map settings. A button will appear on the map view.

When the car is connected and you can see the car is actually sending data, please hit the bug report button and let us know the time, so we can check it.

Please also make sure the car is in drive mode (D mode, not parked), because it could be, that some data is only updated, when the car is actually in drive mode.

So the car itself also shows the wrong SoC in the SoC-Overlay on the bottom right? There should be an overlay as in the screenshot, does it also show 1%?

Best
Samuel

Hello,

So, after some struggling, i managed to get the data overlay showing up... wasn't working... but this time, i don't even see the car on my ABRP account.

i followed what u told me, so here is the report ID (report generated after 40min of road):

09735bd4-e68d-4778-93c4-d5d3ced3567b

and in the screenshot below, you can see the overlay is stuck at 1%.

Last time, at the time i created the ticket, i was seeing my car in ABRP but doesn't want anymore.

Thanks, we will check.

Hi Clement, we checked your eventlog and the car reports a capacity of 6553kWh, so it looks like on Renault side there is a bug on the Automotive implementation. We will investigate further and see if we can implement a workaround.

Hi,
So it does not display in live the battery level ?
