On android OnePlus 12 android 14 &
ABRP 5.0.3 (2857).
If I start ABRP with Android Auto it doesn't connect to my BLE (Obdlink CX).
If I start ABRP first then connect to the Android Auto (and ABRP automatically loads there) BLE connection is made.
This seems like a permission issue or a regression from a few years back with OBD connection issues.
I do have an API connection too so that might throw a curve ball also.

Update 5.0.5 recently released seems to fix the issue !

I see same issue with Samsung A53 and OBDlink CX after one of the later ABRP updates. Before it's working well.

Problem remains with 5.0.4 update. The only way to make it work (apart from rolling back to 5.0.2) is the following:
- On your phone, disconnect from Android Auto. It is shown in notification list
- On your phone, close ABRP app
- Wait few seconds
- On your phone, open ABRP app
- Wait few seconds
- On your car, enable again Android Auto
This needs to be done EVERY time you enter car, so it is ridiculous.

Adding that my phone is a Xiaomi 13T Pro and the dongle is a Maclean MCE200 from Amazon. Have always worked flawlessly. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B079N9KD4P/ref=pe_27063361_485629781_TE_item

Just paid for another year. A no working dongle makes ABRP totally worthless in my opinion. The Enode connection for my VW e-up only updated sporadic so that is not on option in the long run.
I'm gonna make a road trip soon so having the dongle issue fixed would be nice.

If I start abrp on the phone and then start the car and Android auto the connection works.
A workaround but it shouldn't have to be like this. It worked flawlessly before.

For a few days everything is working.

Following app update the dongle no longer connects whatever I do

The dongle suddenly doesn't connect. It has always worked flawlessly but today it just dont connect with ABRP. The dongle works when connecting to OBD scanner app and other apps so there is nothing wrong with the dongle. Yes I inow that I have to forget the Bluetooth connection in my Xiaomi phone before connecting within ABRP. I know 100% how to connect but nothing shows up in ABRP. Before there was a lot of things like all my google home devices and the dongle because I'm outside my house. Now there is nothing at all.
I have uninstalled ABRP. Erased everything inkl my profile and started all over. I now use encode but it is not instant reading rather every 5 min or so. The dongle is some no name but works. Attaching a picture of the dongle.

Today I had connection issues with the ODBII so I unlinked it and try to link it back. No ODBII is found (even if correctly paired via BT)

I have the same, rebooting phone then it connects. Also it connects if I turn off the car...

So do I

And the next day the connection is lost again. The fault must be in the app after maybe an update.

Same problem with ID3 and VLinker.
This weekend's 1000 km tour...
After the restart, it doesn't always work from time to time.
Smartphone is an S23 Ultra; hoping for improvement.

Same issue on MG4 with iCarPro dongle. Nothing appears in the Bluetooth list starting 1 or 2 days ago.

Same Problem Here. Renault Zoe.
After Reinstall ist works one time.

Strange: an hour later when I start the car the dongle is therevto choose in ABRP and everything is working again.

Maybe Enode is enough? You tell me.

I have also restarted the phone, reseted wifi and Bluetooth connection and restarte

The car is a vw e-up 2020.

I experience the same issue with v.5.0.3. After killing the app, I can reestablish a BLE connection with the dongle though.
