Android Auto, BMW i3 94Ah, 2016, Dongle for SoC
I am using ABRP in combination with a dongle so that ABRP can read the SoC. Until the recent AA update, there always was a small pop-up screen (bottom right corner), showing current SoC and expected SoC on destination.
This pop-up screen has disappeared now.

Please use the navigation knob and move it to the split screen on the other side, then the buttons of AA are not preselected anymore and will vanish and then the soc will appear again.
Bert Duursma
That was the case in the previous version of AA. See my previous usecase of 7 months ago.
Today I noticed that (since today...) the ABRP calculated SoC at arrival is now shown in the black popup screen in the lefthand lower corner, see picture. Beta stuff I guess, anyway thanks for quick response :-)
Samuel_ABRP
Ah that is coolwalk mode. Just use AA in full screen and it will look like always.
Bert Duursma
No, it does not work correctly in full screen mode.
Samuel_ABRP
So SoC overlay and speed limit is not shown in coolwalk and neither in full screen? You need to click on the ABRP icon again, to get it in full screen (so spotify is not shown anymore).
Bert Duursma
When using full screen AND cursor is on left window pane (buttons), the screen looks like this (after waiting for 8 sec) (first picture)
The 2nd picture shows what it looks like when cursor is on the large screen pane.
Samuel_ABRP
Yeah that is exactly the thing we were discussing last time. So it seems to still work when you moved away the cursor. What about coolwalk? There you still don't see it?
Bert Duursma
Is this what you mean? In this configuration I can see SoC at destination in the left lower corner. Since a couple of days, ETA is now also available.
However max speed is noit shown, nor the sitaiaution at a planned charging stations (nr of stalls, availability)
Samuel_ABRP
What if you move the cursor to the right, so the buttons go away, does the SOC overlay appear then?
Bert Duursma
This screen shows what happens when cursor is on righthand screen (Spotify here).
In left lowerhand corner, ETA is still shown but the flag with SoC at destination is gone too.
Samuel_ABRP
Ok so that is still not working properly. Will check.
Bert Duursma
I will also do some testing on long distance nav when a charger stop has to be made.
Samuel_ABRP
For now just stay in full screen if you want to see the SOC overlay, I'm trying to fix this for the next version.
