There is no way to wipe away the old route and start fresh. Why? Just want A clean slate to start over. I don’t want to delete points off my old trip.

Hi Michael
If you‘ve already planed the route you can click on Reset to delete the plan, but you will still have the waypoints and the destination you‘ve entered initially.
You can go further on in a second step now if you want, and click on Clear which deletes all waypoints and also the destination.
I hope I’ve understood your question correctly?
