Theft protection alarm on OBDII

As mentioned on reddit the car's antitheft protection alarm goes off when the OBD connection is established while the car is still locked. This seems to be a necessary security feature of the car so it can't be stolen; but I was wondering whether there might be a bug or feature to be implemented/fixed within the app to solve this issue.
