Found that the odb connection with my vlinker MC+ works, but the data is incorrect. Shows more accu charge then it is. What can we do about it ? How can I help you to get ABRP on track for the m50 ? It seems the car is in the vehicle list ( as alpha )

Hi, even though you asked to close this i left it open for other users that want to use it later on. In the meantime we found the reason for the SoC being off on the ix3 and i guess the same logic applies to the i4. I will adjust the PID values later this evening and let you know. Can you please test it again then so we know it works on the i4? Live data can btw also be used with a free account, so no need to buy anything for this.
Robby van Mieghem
Yes i will. Let me
Know and i will test it tomorrow
Samuel_ABRP
Hi, you can try it now. It should show correct SoC and also capacity of the battery now. But don't record when charging yet, as we still need to figure out the charging flag, else it will mess up the reference consumption.
Robby van Mieghem
I checked its 1 percent off. But do i need to remove the car and re-add it or will it reload the new config in the backend?
Samuel_ABRP
It will reload every time before trying to connect. 1% is fine, could be due to rounding.
Robby van Mieghem
Checked it Today also and it is ok. Ps reason for choosing the premium abbo is because else it's lot usable via carplay. And Nowadays handling a phone in the car is not the best idea. That was the main reason. Anyways glad I was of some help here
Samuel_ABRP
Thanks for checking.

Hi,
actually the i4 should not be visible yet, as that one was not tested yet, will check again, why that did not work. Now that it is visible for you though we could as well use the opportunity to check the data.
Please connect to the car to OBD until you see in the car details page, that data is shown (click on your car specific settings and the car view will open). Make a screenshot of the data you see.
Then go to settings page, click on support & feedback, click on contact / get support (first button) and click YES when it asks you to send debug logs. Then it will ask you to send the report, open it with your favorite mail program (e.g. gmail) and send it to samuel@iternio.com
In the mail please also attach what the real value would be.
You can also check the values for example while charging at a fast charger and compare the shown power and voltage to what the charger shows. Then we know if these values are correct.

I already did one Yesterday. Don't know if you received that one? Included 2 screenshots in . It was sent to the default email address shown : premium@abetterrouteplanner.com. But as I check a new one, it does not include data, only app version/platform & user ID . regs
Robby Van Mieghem
PS the AC charging power ( home charger ) was correct Yesterday. I will check later this week at a DC Fast one
Samuel_ABRP
Ok so only SoC is off?
Robby Van Mieghem
yes that seems to be the issue
Robby Van Mieghem
I sent just an email to you with the screenshots I took Yesterday..
Samuel_ABRP
I did not get a mail yet. But please observe the SoC and let me know, if it is consistently off or just while driving. Because it seems that sometimes when the connection to the car is lost we do not show that correctly and then it could be that the SoC is just off because it did not get any values. So please check on multiple occasions, if the soc updates when you connect to the app. So for example on 20 / 40 / 60 / 100 / 100 % roughly, so we can see if it is linear.
Robby Van Mieghem
OK . but I see mail was delivered to samuel@iternio.com . Subject ; Screens M50
Samuel_ABRP
Found them, they were in the spam folder. Ok please monitor the soc as described above, maybe for the I4 this is the battery soc instead of the display soc. For the ix3 this seemed to work, but we will check again.
Robby Van Mieghem
hi mailed 2 screens ( well actually 4 ) , 2 of display m50, 2 of abrp. You see they are equally off... I'll check further down the 70%.. and also try a fast dc charge and see if that corresponds
Robby Van Mieghem
Mailed the additional screens + DC charging. Also this morning 90 % display is 91% abrp. It seems very linear en the lower we go, the more its of
For now we have ( display % / Abrp % )
90 % / 91 %
80 % / 82 %
70 % / 73 %
...
38 % / 44 %

I rather would not calculate the display SoC based on some measurements, as that can change again with decreasing SoH. As we have the display SoC for i3 and ix3 i guess we can also get it for the i4 somehow. Maybe you can get into the discussion here:
forum.abetterrouteplanner.com/topic/3657-bmw-ix3-live-data-obd-or-tronity
If you ask yves van beethoven how he got the values and read them out, it might help you to find the correct pid for display soc. If the rest seems to be ok, this is the only thing we need to find.
Robby Van Mieghem
OK will try. Maybe i can use the ix3 profile :-)
Samuel_ABRP
This IS the ix3 profile. So we need to adjust it a bit for the i4 it seems.
Robby Van Mieghem
DeepOBD does not have an i4 version of the hvs_01 program to read out the BMS ECU ..... so we are out of options
Samuel_ABRP
No, you just have to search for the right PIDs yourself, maybe someone in the forum can help you on how to search for the command.
You can request and dump all the commands and values, and then check, which ones look like a soc value. Most cars return only a few bytes of data for each command, and SoC normally only has 1 or 2 bytes. So you should look out for commands, that return only few bytes.
Robby Van Mieghem
Close this request pls. Cancelled premium abbo. Will be using the default bmw navi which will include the charge points etc with the new firm release I'll be getting the 19th. Thanks anyway
