Hi Samuel. I have a Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) adapter and it works fine, except for one small problem: the dongle doesn’t connect automatically every time I start the car, so I have to do it manually.

ttccack: completely normal for the OBDLink LX not to work, ABRP only supports BLE connections and this dongle does not use BLE. Full information about the OBD connection (also linked on linking page) www.iternio.com/abrp-obd

Sendgrid is an email delivery system. In what type of email did you see this? (If possible please submit a different bug report for this, it is not related to the OBD connection for BYD).

Seems as though ABRP learns from your driving as to what the reference consumption will be rather than the default 19.8

Yes that's what we do with OBD data! (Not all linking options qualify for calibrated consumption) It'll take a bit of driving (data) for it to be properly calibrated for different speeds but over time you should see it better match your driving style.

I noticed while driving in the first image I uploaded that under the power section it shows live power consumption, whilst coasting or breaking the live consumption isn't in the minus, e.g. it will show -22kw on my car's display but in the section on ABRP it will show 22kw, would it be correct to assume that this will be subtracting from the overall calibrated reference consumption even though it's not showing -22kw in ABRP?

Is it possible to test if ABRP getting data when installed on infotainment directly from car?
Infotainment have connection to CAN bus.

When I've tried that last week the app I've installed was looking for the OBD through the bluetooth connection, I'll make the test in a very few minutes on the Dolphin and give my feedback if it works either on one way or the other or not ;-)

I know the app and also know that other car brands will work. The app must be signed with a BYD Key. Also BYD is stopping all sideload Methoden. So time for development would be wasted.

The dolphin was not added yet, as we did not confirm it ourself, that it works. What you could do though is add a new car, select Atto 3, then try to connect. If that works with your Dolpin let us know, and we will also make it available fior that car.

Hmm, yeah the Dolphin and Atto3/Yuan Plus share much more in common than the Seal. Well, still hopping for an easier integration with the Dolphin at least. Thank you for your efforts and work!

Watching closely googles EV integration with OBD etc, will probably make Tesla Map / ABRP redundant TBH. Google have the resources and will just move much quicker.

How can we find the OBD commands? We would appreciate some references or examples of OBD commands from previous vehicles ABRP team has worked on so that we can contribute accordingly. That or examples of OBD commands required by ABRP.

We mainly got data from users and additionally from open source repos, so we don't know what they did exactly. But I'm pretty sure that on forums you will find some guides on how to find out how to do it.

I'm from Brazil, and here this car is been sold under the name of BYD Yuan Plus, but it's exactly the same car as Atto 3!

This is not any sort of helpful response... If you want OBD commands from your customers (especially those who are paying premium) you should at least describe what it is that you need.

OBD is not a premium feature. Anyone can use it. We need the OBD commands to get values like SoC, current, voltage and so on. If anyone is willing to provide these I can provide more details. Anyone who is capable of providing the values should be able to tell what is needed from our side.

If I get a recommended dongle then, can you tell me how I might be able to get these commands? Is there a method or perhaps computer based application that will allow me to discover these commands? Or is this something that needs to come from BYD themselves?
Further, if the data is only available from BYD what are the questions we should be asking? ABRP must have a destination point for the data that is polled. Is there a list of those end points and the type of data that is expected ie string, integer, double etc...?
