This model "MG5 long range" is released/live, but still in "beta" according to the app.
I have noticed that the influence of the outside temperature is massively underrated when calculating the "efficiency", i.e. the real power consumption.
Your default value for the MG5-LR reference consumption is currently 182 Wh/km@110km/h, which gives good results only around 18°C outside temperature.
For other temperatures, I get acceptable results with
- 170 Wh/km@110km in optimal summer conditions (25°C outside temperature)
- 220 Wh/km@110km/h in average winter conditions (0°C outside temperature)
The outside temperature must be factored in way more (regardless if entered manually, or determined automatically with the premium "real time weather" like in my case). You should not need to implement sophisticated stuff like "estimation of battery temp from outside temp" or "varying temperatures along route" - using just a higher influence of the outside temperature at start will greatly improve the results imho.

Also see my detailed post here (similar topic, but more general, sorry for kinda double posting, reckon the request might be overlooked there regarding MG5):

This needs hurrying up. Standard car is too pessimistic
